Women in Construction Week Bandanna

Women in Construction Week is an annual celebration of women in construction - an opportunity to emphasize and raise awareness around the growing role of women in the industry. PSF Mechanical hosted a “Women in Hard Hats Breakfast” during WIC Week, and asked me to design a bandanna, which they gifted to all attendees. The Marketing Manager at PSF was confident in my illustration abilities. She wanted a classic-looking bandanna design that included the PSF logo and some construction-relevant imagery worked in, but other than that, I had creative license. I decided on an elegant typographic focal point, and added simple construction industry icons, along with scenes of women working in various sectors of the construction industry. There was quite a bit of detail in the design - I took care to keep the line work thick and consistent in order to ensure a successful screen print and beautiful finished product.
